Recruitment

The first step in the process of joining a sorority or fraternity is called Recruitment. There is no obligation to join and this is just a chance for you to see what Greek life has to offer!

Aviva Kaufman

Vice President Membership

I am a Junior here at Oxy, and I am a math major, with a minor in economics. My interests and activities include THETA, Hillel, volunteer work, and riding horses. It is my job to get potential members as well as current members as excited about being a Theta as I am. I am in charge of Recruitment events as well as continued support of our girls and the Eta Mu chapter. If you have any questions regarding membership, please feel free to contact me anytime. Theta love and my own!

Kappa Alpha Theta Fall Recruitment 2008

Thank you so much to everyone who came out for informal recruitment 2008!

Greek Life

Kappa Alpha Theta also strives to be good sisters to all within the Greek community. Through the Greek Council and directly with each other, all organizations of Occidental Greek Life collaborate for many different types of events.

Meredith Martin-Almy

Vice President Panhellenic

I am a Senior at Oxy this year majoring in Sociology with a minor in Russian. I am also a member of the Oxy Cheer team, Go Tigers! As Vice President Panhellenic, it is my job to positively represent Kappa Alpha Theta to the greek community and uphold the Panhellenic goals, rules, and ideals. The VPPH must also work to foster inter-Greek relations with other organizations at Oxy, this is accomplished through ensuring that Thetas are present and supportive at events and activities put on by other houses. The VPPH works to make sure that Thetas see themselves not only as members of the Fraternity, but as members of the Oxy Greek family.
