Welcome

Eta Mu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta

Kappa Alpha Theta was founded in 1870 as the first Greek-letter Fraternity for women. We value our history and take pride in our four founders, who were truly visionary. We also value what we offer today's women!

A Word From our President

Welcome to Kappa Alpha Theta at Occidental College! Thank you for visiting our website. We hope that whether you are a potential new member, active member, a parent, or an alumna, you find helpful information on this site. Theta sisterhood is like no other; it's encompassed by women from all over the world who share the joy of compassion, love, and loyalty.

As sisters, we pride ourselves in our scholastic achievements, strong philanthropic events, and our ability to balance it all on top of an exciting social calendar. Thetas are involved in a variety of volunteer, athletic, and academic groups on campus, yet still manage to maintain the highest GPA on campus!

Each semester is full of exciting social events: from formals and sisterhood activities, to football games and alumnae events. Yet some of our greatest memories are from bonding over late-night 21 Choices runs, watching favorite TV shows together, and talks with close friends.

As president of the Eta Mu chapter, I am honored to represent the women of Kappa Alpha Theta and I could not be more proud of every woman in our chapter. We invite you to explore our website and see what it’s like to be a Theta at Oxy. If you’re interested in learning more about Thetas across the nation, please take the time to visit the Kappa Alpha Theta fraternity website.

Theta Love,
