I was born in Sacramento and lived in California for the first three months of my life and have lived on the North Shore of Massachusetts ever since. I am a politics major with a philosophy minor and, aside from ASOC, I play Oxy Rugby, work for Telefund and am a member of Rebirth Club. This is my second year as Class Senator for the Class of 2010. Alison Dempsey is a Junior Psychology major from Brookline, Massachusetts. Her interests include: swimming, bicycle riding, autism, public transportation, cities, travel, history, and the atlantic ocean/south shore/cape. She is has been a campus wide senator since the Fall of 2006

I'm a Junior Economics and Psychology double major from Glendale, Arizona. When I'm not enjoying my duties as Campus Wide Senator, I like to read, watch TV and sports (the Phoenix Suns), and hang out with my Alpha Lambda Phi Alpha sisters. I also enjoy being an active member in the Newman Catholic Community, Mecha/Alas, Olive Branches, A-Team and O-Team.

I ran for Senate to help build campus community and make it easier for first-year students to transition and start their adventures at Occidental College.

Hello everyone, my name is Rozell Hodges and I am a senior from Chicago (the best city in the world). When I am not being an amazing campus leader I like to play tennis, watch comical movies, and spend time with friends. One of my favorite interests is to organize events on campus. I was born and raised in a sleepy retirement town known as Hemet, California. Since that time, I have participated in some capacity within student government. Thus, the opportunity to run for a senate position was quite appealing to me upon enrolling at Oxy. Luckily I have found my niche in Oxy senate and thoroughly enjoy the work and experience it has brought me. In addition to student government, I am an avid car enthusiast and previously bought and sold old cars as a hobby.

 


Santiago Mendez

I was born in Guatemala, but my parents decided to move to the Bay Area when I was two. I lived in the Bay Area until I was nine when my family moved back to Guatemala. Then I lived in Panajachel most of my life until my 18th birthday. I moved to SF the summer before I came to Oxy and then did MSI. I ran for Senate because I realized that there were a lot of really dedicated people doing amazing events, but publicizing events is really difficult. I joined the Finance and Public Relaitons committee hoping to help with publicity although public relations is traditionally supposed to be the committee having the body it represents be known to the public. Mike Myers

I was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona where I graduated from Desert Mountain High School. Aside from ASOC, I am involved in Phi Kappa Psi and am interested in economics, politics, and history. My favorite food at the Marketplace are the Crispitos (served every Wednesday). I now live off campus but you can find me on campus a lot so come and talk to me about anything.

Kenna has been working at Oxy since 2005 and has been lucky enough to work with Senate, General Assembly, Student Services, student activities, clubs & organizations, and leadership development.  She earned a BA in Sociology and Women & Gender Studies from the University of California, Davis in 2003 and a MS in College Student Personnel from Miami University of Ohio in 2005.  She loves leadership development, good books, long conversations, great food, Disneyland, Tinkerbell, stars, and her fabulous family and friends.
