Senate
Senate is the principal arm of student government. The primary objective of Senate is to serve as a strong and well-versed voice of the student body through identifying and acting upon student needs. Senators are expected to know administrative processes and help lead fellow students through them. Senate is also in charge of overseeing more than half a million dollars in student body fees and this year will distribute more than $80,000 in funds to student clubs and organizations.

April 22 : Senate will unveil the multicultural history project.
March '08 : Senate begins trial newspaper delivery to the Tiger cooler.
November 3: Scholastic committee and senate Co-sponsor the "Not-unhappy Hour"
October 17: "Get the Mission" a program bringing together faculty and students.
